For years, I’ve followed Social Repose through his many YouTube videos, his music and his bizarre but effective way of putting himself out there. Not surprisingly, he told me that he never expected the level of success he’s received through these projects, which started out as just random covers in his room. His approach to everything he does is admirable and incredibly effective, from his stage attire to the way that he moves, speaks and plans each step. Before he got into character for his performance on October 26th at Aftershock Live in Kansas City, I had the chance to speak to him about how the tour had been going, his Empress EP, adjusting to a more active tour lifestyle and much more. Check out the interview below and, please, if you enjoy it… give it a share!
