From Ashes to New Makes Their Return with “Crazy”

From Ashes to New Makes Their Return with Brand New Single, “Crazy”

Sophomore Album, The Future, Coming This Spring via Eleven Seven Music/Better Noise Records

From Ashes to New, out of Lancaster, PA, is a band that found themselves exploding into the spotlight, just a short time after they formed. With the release of their debut, self-titled EP, they found a niche between hard rock, nu-metal and rap/rock. With a central focus on the captivating back and forth vocals of rapper/vocalist Matt Brandyberry, and original singer/screamer, Chris Musser, they took their art to a whole new level. It wasn’t long until they were discovered by long-time, respected hard rock label Eleven Seven Music and signed to their imprint, Better Noise Records. Wanting to immediately get their new songs out there, the band dropped an EP titled, Downfall, before releasing their debut, full-length opus Day One, in early 2016. Fast forward two years later, the band went through some line-up changes, replacing drummer Tim D’Onofrio w/Mat Madiro (ex-Trivium) and replacing Musser with up-and-coming vocal phenom, Danny Case (ex-Vanity Strikes.) Since the announcement of Case’s involvement with the band, fans have been clamoring for new music and, while the band didn’t have too many updates to give as far as WHEN that might happen, they assured everyone that it was going to happen. Today, February 2nd, is finally that day. With the help of SiriusXM’s Octane, they’ve released their brand new single, “Crazy,” while in the midst of their tour with 10 Years, and decided to dive heavier into the active rock category. Honed into his abilities as a rapper, Brandyberry flows and sounds better than ever and Case’s amazing vocal range lends to the serious nature of the track, which focuses on how easily life (and, more importantly, association with the wrong people) can get you down.

On the release of “Crazy,” Brandyberry had this to say:

Pretty much anything that could go wrong to try and slow down the process and throw you a curveball happened during the last year since we came off the road, but we came out on the other side. “states Matt Brandyberry “I was in a very down mind frame because of what was happening with the other members leaving and the anxiety made it difficult to write at times but ultimately I found the right people to come together and we decided we were going to write the best music we possibly could and see where that took us.”

“Crazy” is a huge anthem for the people feeling caught in the middle of a situation and confused by it all.

The track is the first display of the band’s forthcoming, sophomore effort, The Future, which will be out on April 20th via Eleven Seven Music/Better Noise Records. More details on the album, including artwork and pre-orders, will be released shortly so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that! For now, you can catch the band on their remaining support dates with 10 Years, as well as some festival dates… undoubtedly, these guys are planning something huge surrounding the release of the album, so be sure to watch out for more dates TBA in the near future. “Crazy” is now available via your favorite digital retailers and for streaming on Spotify!
