Band of the Week #2: VARSITY (04/10 – 04/17)
We’re proud to hand this weeks Band of the Week to Varsity. Originating from the big apple, New York City. The 5-piece post-hardcore group that’s been making waves since 2014. To keep the fire spreading they’ve recently announced their signing with The Artery Foundation with their single Reign Dance, which can be found below. Originally being conceived as a solo project of Joey Varela (Vocals) in Florida. After releasing his EP Lights, Joey packed up and headed to the big apple to start a new lease on the group. Quickly picking up the rest of the line up Javy Derrejo (Bass/Screams), Chad Joseph (Drums), Marlene Mendoza (Guitar), and Linn Winn (Guitar). The band heads out on their first tour with Heart At War and In Loving Memory in five days! The momentum of Varsity doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. They’ve truly made 2016 their year.
