REVIEW: Bound In Fear – Regicide [EP/2017]
The new United Kingdom Downtempo / Deathcore group, Bound In Fear, is preparing to release their debut album, Regicide. We are very pleased to bring you the full review. The album comes out April 10th via Chugcore. 7 tracks of pure bone chilling metal. The album begins with a sample setting the place for the haunting melody that becomes signature throughout the record. As the sample fades into the distance – Ben’s devastating vocals trigger the movement of the earth queing the rest of the band to kick in. Throughout the record I fell more in love with the guitar tones Keir was utilizing. The lead and rhythm tone interact so fluidly with each other – something about it makes you can’t help but want to mosh around the house. The vocalist has a pretty diverse range that suits perfectly with the instrumentals. Ben keeps you on the edge with his vocals patterns. Everyone loves good bass with their Downtempo. Joss keeps that in check with his seat pounding bass. Me and my friend had fun turning the bass up on this one. Alex is a fantastic drummer from the live videos I’ve seen and my opinion only grew in that favor after receiving this record. Drum patterns hug the vocal patterns like you would a friend who had had a bad day. The production value of Regicide is pretty crushing to say the least. Everyone involved with this record did an outstanding job. In my opinion I think it’s a well crafted piece of heavy music. These guys have definitely shown they mean business grabbing media attention on social networks, and actively playing shows. This album has three guest spots, which you can peek below with the rest of the album information and the two singles that have been released! Get ready for REGICIDE which drops tomorrow!

Solid production with a evil sound. Great vocal work. The instrumentals deliver with a punch. This is only these guys first record. Stay tuned.
