Doctor Deathcore’s Top 25 Album and EPs of 2024
Well, it’s that time again. As the years go on, the less frills and frivolities I put into this list–so without delay, here is a list of my top 25 albums and EPs of 2024.

3 – Boundaries – Death is Little More (Metalcore)
2 – CRUCIFICTION – Will to Power (Deathcore)
1 – Mortal Reminder – Mortal Reminder (Metalcore)
Honestly, with my favorite records being primarily metalcore the last four years, maybe Doctor Deathcore as a moniker isn’t the most accurate–but when you’ve got records as good as Death is Little More and Mortal Reminder’s debut coming at you, it’s hard not to accept them as among the pinnacle of heavy music releases in a given year.
Top 25 EPs of the year:

24 – Lilith’s Demise – Lilith in Aries (Deathcore)

1 – Tracheotomy – Fixated Propensity for Destruction (Deathcore)
EPs were really where the money was at for deathcore this year–especially with the MySpace revival in full swing. While some (many) of the revival acts feel like a “cash” grab, I believe this list distills many of the most sincere bands (those that released full projects at least).
All in all, I think 2024 was another outstanding year for music, continuing the trend started in the early 2020s where each year seemed to be better than the last–and by the looks of it, 2025 is going to be even better still.
