Emerging from the Shadows: Tell The Wolves I’m Home
Nashville’s Tell the Wolves I’m Home are anything but your typical metalcore band. They join a long line of bands of recent times who seek to bring forth a message of positivity and hope. 2 EPs into their career, they’ve shared the stage with the likes of Parkway Drive, The Word Alive, Beartooth and many more due to getting the opportunity to play their date of the Vans Warped Tour. Their music is a refreshing upheaval from the stale monotony of most of their genre these days. They just released a cover of The Weekend’s “Starboy”, which stays true to the original until the second verse where vocalist Jon-Micah Bayliss explodes with ferocity and turns that coal into a diamond. Really digging into ways to make it unique and stand out, the band doesn’t have to dig deep as their talent shows immensely throughout! It’s not often that you’ll find a band this talented, passionate and humble about the things they’ve accomplished (and will accomplish.) They’re currently hard at work on their third EP, set for release later this year. “Starboy” was premiered through Ladies of Metal and can be checked out below. Keep your eyes peeled for all they’ve got coming in 2017! The following info is from their one-sheet:
“Following the positive reception of their sophomore EP, Persevere, Tell the Wolves I’m Home have been working diligently on their cover of “Starboy” and upcoming EP. When Tell the Wolves I’m Home started to write their third highly awaited EP, they felt as if they should release a cover to pay homage to the vast success of The Weeknd. With the release of “Starboy”, fans can enjoy the catchiness of the sung chorus as well as a mix of post-hardcore and metalcore with the Daft Punk influenced electronic beats. Musicallly, TTWIH have polished a unique sound with “Starboy”. “This release encompasses everything it is to be in the band. We’ve always made a point to let the music take us where it needed and not force it. That organic attitude we have as a band has made this release really special to us,” says Bryan Chowning, guitarist for TTWIH. The highly appraised cover of “Starboy” only more so validates the credibility of the band and makes their third unreleased EP more desirable by the day”
