Orlando’s electronic metal titans Exotype have released a fairly lengthy statement against Rise Records and, by extension, why they’re departing from the label. The band was set to release their video for “Stand Up,” dedicated to the victims of the shootings in Orlando, which was supposed to have been pushed by the label. Rather than pushing the video, they made it so that only the band themselves could see it. As such, Exotype has pulled the video from YouTube, making it exclusively available to view on Facebook (you can see the post below.) Now, 2 days later, they’ve also released a new single, entitled “Break Me,” which seems to be based on the feelings they have about Rise Records and the music industry in general. You can purchase both singles on their BandCamp page, view the statement and check out the video for “Stand Up” all below. Currently, they are in the studio working on their 2nd full-length album, which has a yet-to-be-determined release date.
