A Moment Of Silence: Chester Bennington

I remember the first time I heard, “One Step Closer” it was on the Dracula 2000 soundtrack and I’m listening to this track, and I’m like 11 years old, hearing, “…SHUT UP WHEN I’M TALKING TO YOU!” and I’m sitting there earphones blaring! Thinking to myself, at 11, going, “This Rocks!” And while “Crawling” grew on me I’ll always remember that.

Fast forward, for me the track “In The End” was my whole high school.

“I tried so hard, and got so far

But in the end, it doesn’t even matter

I got so far, to lose it all.

But in the end, it doesn’t even matter.”

The news of hearing of the tragedy of Chester’s death whose lyrics and music got me through so much, was a hit to the hearts of many loyal fans and family. Chester’s charisma and willpower will always be felt through his music and his memories. Here’s to you! We haven’t forgotten. R.I.P
