Rammstein Break Silence With Performance of New Song

It’s been 7 years since we’ve received a new album, or music of any sort, from German metal gods Rammstein. Since their return in 2015, which shocked the metal community, they’ve given us little to go on. We know they’re recording, we know they’re touring but we don’t have a time table… and that’s just how they like it. Finally, fans can breathe a sigh of relief as they broke their silence by opening with a brand new song, entitled “Ramm 4” at last night’s Gods of Metal Fest in Italy, as reported by MetalSucks. What does this mean for the band, though? Could we finally be getting something new, sooner than later? We’ve only received new material in the form of a live DVD/Documentary Live in Amerika last September. On the other hand, Rammstein have prided themselves on being master teasers… so this could just be a simple case of “testing the waters.” One thing’s for sure, it takes a lot of guts to open a major festival with a song that fans have never heard, so excitement levels must be through the roof!
