Dallas’ Adakain has always turned heads with their brand of hard, yet radio-ready alternative metal. In fact, it feels like just yesterday that I walked into my local Hot Topic, where they had left a ton of their 2008 release, Together In the Heart, which is where I first heard them. Now that they’re readying their first national release, Never Coming Home with a revamped line-up, sound and attitude… it seems only fitting that the lead single be a heavy-hitter. Well, they’ve delivered on “We Crawl,” starting with an infectious riff and building into a full-blown beast with gnashing teeth. This song is about the band’s struggle throughout the years with their many line-up changes, hardships and the mass amounts of hate they’ve received. It’s a way of giving a big middle finger to the negativity in the world and letting them all know that they aren’t going down without a fight. The title is a reflection of how they’ve clawed their way to the top, inch by inch, day by day until they got to this point. Now, having shared the stage with the likes of KoRn, Trapt, Drowning Pool, Trivium and more… they’re ready to show the world what they’re made of. Check out the lyric video for “We Crawl” below and get ready for Never Coming Home to be released on November 6th and, in the meantime, be sure to catch them on tour with Trapt and First Decree on the “Life In Your Own Hands” tour (dates below!)
