EXCLUSIVE Premiere & Review: Annie Sails Sorrow – My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark [Cover]
Artist: Annie Sails Sorrow
Album: My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark [Cover] – Single
Rating: 5/5
Hermiston’s Annie Sails Sorrow are a band that continues to impress on many levels. Their debut EP, Drifter, landed the #2 spot on my “Top 25 Albums of the Year for 2013” list and their musicianship never ceases to amaze me. When they started talking about the possibility of doing a cover song, naturally, I was intrigued. Needless to say, their cover of the popular hit “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up)” was much more than I expected it to be. Not only does it deliver a fitting comparison to the original, but they have shaped and molded it into an incredible metal cover. If that isn’t enough to get you salivating, how about we add in the fact that Riley Rose (We Rise the Tides) contributed guest vocals! After a long wait, due to circumstances out of their control, these 5 ASS-holes are ready to unleash this beast upon the masses! Whether you’re a fan of Fall Out Boy, Annie Sails Sorrow, Metal or all 3… this cover will hit your ears in just the right way. Also mixed and mastered by Riley Rose, this track will change the way you look at covers entirely! Check out our exclusive premiere of the track, free downloads (via Bandcamp) to follow in the next couple of days!
