Pop-rock is a genre that is ever-expanding and ever-changing, yet seems to somehow keep unbelievable stay power. I’m not a huge fan of many modern pop-rock groups but Beta State is definitely an exception. A breath of fresh air in the same respect as bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars and Jimmy Eat World, Beta State is taking the scene by storm. They have been featured on FUSE TV, Live 105, MTV’s “Road Rules Challenge: Rivals” and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The group teamed up with legendary producer Erik Ron who has previously worked with bands like Panic! At the Disco and Hit the Lights to record their newest album “Friendship” which blows holes in the mainstream pop-rock that has been released over the last couple years. It’s catchy and infectious demeanor will reel you in and have you belting out and dancing everywhere. Songs like “Stronger than Gravity” and “Start A Clean Slate” along with an incredible cover of Bjork’s “Unravel” and many remixes, prove that this album has a little something for everyone! Pick up your copy of “Friendship” on May 21st and see why pop-rock will never die!
