Artist: Lights Out Paris
Single: Procrastinating Perfection (ft. Jayy Von Monroe of Blood on the Dance Floor)
Rating: 5/5

There have been a lot of new bands hitting the scene this year, a ton of which we’ve covered, but there’s one in particular that I feel is going to turn a lot of heads. The band I’m speaking of is 5 individuals who, collectively, call themselves Lights Out Paris. The act is comprised of current and former members of The Bunny The Bear, Sea of Treachery and Dividing the Skyline from all over the East coast. The band, incepted in 2007, has undergone a couple name changes and many trials and tribulations to get to where they are now but they ARE back and better than ever. Their debut single, “Procrastinating Perfection” is a work of art. While vocalist Chrissy Gerace has an angelic voice that conveys the sad/hurt emotion meant to be felt by this song… honestly, it’s the guest vocalist (Jayy Von Monroe of Blood on the Dance Floor) that really threw me for a loop here, simply because like most people… I’m not a fan of his band or his work… So, little did I know that he would add so much to the overall feel of this track and 100% slay his part! The single is 2 parts melancholy, 2 parts aggression and wholly impressive on all fronts. If you’ve never heard the bands these musicians were in before, don’t worry because they are nothing like what you’ll hear from them in this project. Coming out of the gate with such a strong impact, one only wonders what could be next for this quintet. New Transcendence will definitely do our best to bring you whatever they have to throw at the world! Please, do yourselves a favor and check out “Procrastinating Perfection” below, go drop the band a like and keep an eye on them this year… I’m sure they’ll have more to blow us away with!
