Since 2007, Tennessee’s Stand Your Ground has been making quite a name for themselves. Touring relentlessly and refusing to give nothing but the best in their music and live show, they are truly above many of the cookie-cutter bands in their genre. With the release of their debut album “Despondenseas” in 2011, the band exploded in a big way. With tracks like “In the Wake of Drowning” and “Onward and Downward” the band solidified themselves as the hardcore band to keep your eye on. Now, 2 years later, the band is gearing up to release their sophomore album “Standards” and I will be the first to tell you that they’ve really stepped up their “A Game” on this one! From beginning to end, you have angry, pounding, mosh-worthy music that will get the crowd off their feet and you moving out of your seat! Clocking in at just about 20 minutes, you will find yourself playing this album over and over because, as I did, you’ll realize it gets better with each listen. Tracks like “Pros and Cons”, “The Fearless”, and “Understanding”  and the crushing, yet somehow beautiful closing track “Betrayer/Deceiver”,will see you belting out each lyric to the top of your lungs. The band has truly outdone themselves this time and I honestly look forward to what’s next! Pick up your copy of “Standards” out on June 25th and find what’s been missing in Hardcore!
