Sleeping With Sirens: CTRL + ALT + DEL Tour

The boys are back and ready for action. This would start to become a tour the band couldn’t possibly forget.  This all began back on Friday May 13th, 2022, at 10 a.m. when tickets went on sale. Fans had to start acting fast as ticket sales were starting to show low ticket numbers and sell out dates very fast. The band announced that they would have artists Garzi, Point North, and Don Broco joining this tour. The fans went crazy in response to the announcement of this tour, and we knew this was going to be a rager. This would be their first tour in two and a half years. The band also released a new single, ”Crosses” featuring Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath that was teased to being performed live on stage during this tour. This song will be a song off of their upcoming album, ‘Complete Collapse’ due to be released October 14th, 2022, under Sumerian Records. The album will also feature their previously released song, “Bloody Knuckles”, which was the band’s first original released song since their last record, ‘How It Feels to Be Lost’ which was released back in 2019. Complete Collapse will include songs: 01. Tyrants, 02. Complete Collapse, 03. Crosses (feat. Spencer Chamerlain of Underoath), 04. Family Tree, 05. Let You Down (feat. Charlotte Sands), 06. Be Happy (feat. Royal & The Serpent), 07. Us (feat. Dorothy), 08. Ctrl + Alt + Del, 09. Bloody Knuckles, 10. Mr. Nice Guy, 11. Apathetic, and closing out the album, 12. Grave

Sleeping with Sirens hit the road and took to Chicago, IL to kick this tour off. Shows continued to sell fast as the group travelled to Inkcarceration Festival, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and further down the East coast making their way to the infamous House of Blues Orlando where I attended their show where they had their first Sold Out date of the tour. Who’s surprised when it comes to Orlando. When artists come through Florida, Floridians know how to show up and support their scene. We go hard here in Florida, no mistake. Just a day before Sleeping with Sirens played Atlanta, Ga where the wonderfully talented Maggie Schneider, frontwoman for the band Glimmers, got on stage and sang with Kellin Quinn for an unbelievable, jaw-dropping performance. If you haven’t checked out Glimmers yet, do so, they do not disappoint.

Now let’s get back to that sold out show in Orlando, shall we? This night would be one for the books. It was a special one unlike any other. Full of heart-stopping energy, tears of joy and a beautiful gesture of humanity, crowd surfing, and electrifying performances from the artists on stage. The venue was packed wall to wall all the way around. Fans gathered as Garzi set to take the stage. Lights went down, and the crowd began to cheer. Garzi came out rocking the biggest smile and gratitude for his fans, new and old. He put on a performance that just blew the roof off. If you didn’t know his name before, well you sure knew it now. Next up was Point North, and they didn’t keep you waiting for the excitement to begin. They started their set and never looked back. They set that stage on fire performing their set that really made the crowd go wild. The band ended their set by playing “Into the Dark”, which features Sleeping with Sirens’ lead singer, Kellin Quinn. The crowd was not ready for this. They about lost their heads when these two men were united on stage. This was going to be one of the best closing songs these fans have heard, and one of the first times the two singers have been able to perform this song together on stage.

Next up we have Don Broco. Don Broco entered the stage no less than a raging bull in a china shop of fans ready to have the time of their lives. The energy in the House of Blues was unrelenting, compelling, dynamic, and one hundred percent authoritative as they demanded your attention strictly via talent. Their set would keep the concert goers on their feet and sweating their hearts out for an incredible set. the lights went down, the crowd began to relax as the stage was empty, just waiting for its next artist to command it. The fans waited in pure bliss and overwhelming foresight as the crew began to set the stage for their Headliner, Sleeping with Sirens. The banner began to rise, the crowd started filling in, the noise level increasing to a loud burst of chatters and squeals. The stage was set, it was time to go. The lights went down. The spotlights began to swirl, catching the faces of the elevated and animated crowd. You could hear the anticipation starting to overtake the venue as the band would soon be entering the stage. The floor started to shake; you could feel the rumbling of the wood beneath your feet. This was going to be a night these guests wouldn’t forget. The intro to “Break Me Down” began to play. Here it comes, we are ready. It’s all about to unfold now as the boys entered the stage. The crowd went ballistic in uproars of screaming and cheering. The volume level in the room was so full of electricity you could feel it in your veins. The chills down your spine, the vibration through your feet, the rafters beginning to shake around you, you could feel your heart beating heavy with the pulsating of the room.

The boys set their place on stage and began to perform like it was their last day on earth. Each and every single song getting better and better than the last, now much how hard they were playing and how intense Kellin was singing and moving. Everyone was tired now, not mentally, oh no, we were ready for more. Time to slow it down though. The band performed “Better Off Dead”, slowing down pace and allowing the concert goers to take it down a notch and regroup their energy. Such a beautiful moment was about to arise. The band announced that they would be performing, “The Strays” for a very special fan that they had met earlier that evening. Her name was Siren and she was a part of the Make A Wish foundation. The audience began to swell up with tears and awes as Kellin stood at the mic and said, “this one’s for you Siren”. The Sleeping with Sirens boys were able to play her favorite song and add it to their setlist last minute. This was a gorgeous moment for everyone at the show and speaks to how incredible, close, caring, thoughtful, and true this community is. The performance was of course as beautiful as their guest of honors soul.

Sleeping with Sirens then began to pick the energy back up and performed their new song, “Crosses” as well as many other fan favorites, get up out of your seat bangers. The crowd spent the night crowd surfing to the front and picking each other up when they fell. Kellin Quinn also decided to crowd surf, telling the crowd, “I’m coming right to you. Don’t move”.  The show winded and the audience was still craving more of their beloved SWS. The band left the stage after their set and the crowd began to cheer for an “Encore”. Chantting, “One More Song, One More Song”. Minutes went by and the crowd began to roar again. Could it be? Could the band be coming back out on stage? this can’t be real. Is it not over? you’re right it’s not over! The boys weren’t done yet! Kellin, Tony, Justin, Nick, and Matty returned to the stage to perform two more songs for the excited crowd. Shows over now, time to wrap it up. As I made my way around the venue, I could see the sheer joy and happiness on everyone’s faces as they were still reliving the moments that had just occurred. This show was well worth the wait for the two and a half years during the covid outbreak that each and every guest had whether from in or out of town.

The night was amazing, and I was so lucky to have captured it all on camera. The looks on the fans faces, the sweat, the tears, the joy, the smiles and laughter, and of course the band themselves as they delivered an outstanding and unforgettable performance. What a night to remember. Pictures from the Orlando Florida date posted below
