“It was funny how the song came about,” singer Ryan McCombs says of the new single. “Adam was doodling on his guitar making this super annoying sound when he caught me staring at him with a “wtf” look. He apologized but I responded that “No. That annoying fu*king sound would be perfect for this song about ‘hate’ I had an idea for.” The sound itself makes me want to knock holes in the wall.”
With only a week to go until release, SOiL is dropping loads of new music new music on fans. The band recently debuted a new lyric video for their song “Amalgamation” at http://youtu.be/MRKb29CIOYY, which followed the official music video for their hard-hitting single “Shine On.”
SOiL’s sixth studio album, Whole, marks singer Ryan McCombs’ return to the band for the first time since 2004’s Re.De.Fine, after spending six years as the vocalist for Drowning Pool. On their latest record, SOiL returns with a ferocious release that features eleven rock radio anthems including “Shine On,” “Amalgamation,” “The Hate Song” and “Loaded Gun,” which take fans back to the early sound of the band.
