The “Versus Movement” Continues with Release of Explosive New Single, Urging You to Stay “Awake”

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from WA metalcore up-and-comers, Versus. After the band released their debut album, The Cardinal (March 2017) and finished their tour with Alesana, Charlatan, For the Win and Vesta Collide, they laid low. Vocalist Joe Taylor started his solo project, Joe Taylor Must Die and went on a few tours while guitarist, Joshua Wayne Kendrick started a project of his own, Low Bodies. He also has been doing a lot of photography work. Today, the wait is over for new Versus material as we help bring you “Awake.” The first release since their small break, it picks right up where The Cardinal left off. This track deals with the idea of being either so tired or so restless that you just don’t feel motivated to go on. As a band who tackles mental health issues, this song is designed to help give motivation to crawl out of that slump and get back to living your life. While no further information has been given as to the line-up of the band or any future plans, it’s nice to hear the boys back in action!
