Seattle’s AVOID Invites You Into Loneliness with “By Myself” Now Available on iTunes & Spotify
Like the risen phoenix from a bed of ashes, Seattle’s AVOID has wasted no time in making a name for themselves. With the decision to change their name, formerly known as Avoid the Void, came a new sound, new image and a fresh perspective on what they wanted to achieve. Just a little over a year ago, the band allowed us to celebrate the end to closing of that chapter for the band with their debut single, “End of an Era.” Since that point, they’ve inked a deal with 307 Artist Management went out on tour with Killing the Messenger and Redeem Revive and have been signed to Revival Recordings. Today, we proudly partner with Revival Recordings and AVOID, once more to help premiere their brand new single, “By Myself.” Designed to make you move, this track packs plenty of punch and serves as a precursor for their debut EP, Alone, which will be released later this year. The video for “By Myself” features footage from their most recent tour and gives you insight into what it’s like to see these guys live! More info on Alone will be released as the year progresses, but you can rest assured that it’s going to turn heads!
Vocalist Benny Scholl says: We’ve been looking forward to releasing this song for awhile now. “By Myself” is a song that you can just bang your head to and have a good time, but also talks about being / feeling alone, and the different emotions that it can spiral into.
Always looking to stay ahead of the curve, Revival Recordings announced that, every Friday in 2018, they have a new release that they will unveil. Those that have been released (including AVOID’s previous single “28 Days”), thus far, can be found on the official Revival52 playlist on Spotify and are available on YouTube, iTunes, Google Play and more. “By Myself” is the latest banger to be added to the list and, if you haven’t checked out the rest of the playlist, be sure to do that by clicking the link below.
